About the College Donor Fund
The College Donors Fund is a non-profit organization that assists donors to help students pay for college while making sure the students and their families are making smart college decisions.
To achieve this objective, the College Donors Fund provides grants and college coaching services for students who demonstrate they are serious and committed about making prudent college choices. Students and/or their parents are asked to enroll, paying a small fee to demonstrate their commitment.
The Fund is relatively unique insofar as we provide ongoing support until a student graduates from college, as opposed to simply getting students admitted to college without any follow-on support.

Paying for college has become a major barrier for many students and their families
Too many students and their parents try to find solutions on their own. It is simply too difficult. The result is an over-reliance on "name-brand" colleges or schools they may have attended or heard about from family or friends.
Our experience shows that too many students and their families do not make prudent college decisions that maximize academic value while minimizing college debt. Part of the explanation for this failure is our system of higher education itself. It is why, as stated in our donor's testimonial above, we seek to "level the playing field" to help families and students.
But leveling the playing field is not enough.
Our experience also shows we cannot help students and parents unless they are open to new approaches and are seriously committed to finding and pursuing the best academic and financial combinations that limit debt.
